Nigerian actor who played a Klingon in Star Trek has been arrested over allegations of rape and sexual assault of female students.

It is claimed former drama teacher, Chris Obi, assaulted them as they acted out love scenes during private lessons at his home in London, The Sun reports.

Six different women have made complaints against Obi, 51, and he was arrested at Heathrow after flying in from Los Angeles.

He has been questioned on suspicion of raping one woman and sexually assaulting a further five. He was released on bail pending further investigation.

He denied any wrongdoing. The UK’s Metropolitan Police said the investigation relates to alleged incidents that took place between July 2012 and August 2019.

“The idea was for it to be something avant garde, not thinking about the functionality of it. An actual statement, something that will be kept in a glass box to mark a moment.”

Popular Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo has ventured into politics, as he is aspiring to represent his Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency at the parliament.

The actor was mobbed by huge crowd at Legon Campus, Ghana, as he was cleared to contest the primaries of the National Democratic Congress, NDC.

He posted on his Instagram page: “Yesterday I successfully passed the vetting and cleared to contest the Ndc primaries in Ayawaso West Wuogon. Together we can make Ayawaso West great again, yes we can.”

In another post, Dumelo said:

Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has lashed out at his players for “lacking everything”, as they lost 7-3 to Atletico Madrid in the International Champions Cup.

Atletico led 5-0 at half time of the pre-season fixture on Friday.

Diego Costa netted four goals, before he was sent off along with Madrid full-back Dani Carvajal, following a clash in the second half.

The margin of defeat could have been greater, if not for some desperate defending and late goals from Karim Benzema and Javi Hernandez.

Speaking after the game, Zidane told reporters:

“What happened is that we entered the game very badly. A high-level competition, we entered very badly.

“At eight minutes we were down 2-0. There was no response from us to change something. The first part was difficult. We never entered the game. We have lacked everything. Especially intensity.

“They scored seven goals, it can’t happen. That is also known to the players, who are disappointed. You don’t have to spin it over. It’s a pre-season game. They’ve been better at everything. There is nothing more to talk about.

“We are preparing a season and being calm. We have to be on August 17, with the first league game. For now, we have lacked things for sure tonight.”
